Disposable cameras alleviate the worries of giving children an expensive camera that they may drop or loose. By using a portable disposable camera like the Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash children and adults alike can enjoy a relatively good camera at a good price, stress-free. The overall camera is incredibly light and easy to handle – it can go with you anywhere and not take up a lot of space.

Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash comes singly or in a two pack (the two-for is a better deal usually). I like the version with 400ASA film because that allows you to use the camera in low light conditions. The resulting pictures from the Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash are really surprisingly good. I hadn’t expected the clarity in a “throw away” camera. You get sharp, bright colors and good image quality thanks in part to a nice sized view finder and pre-set camera settings.

At around $12 fro two cameras and 27 images each, you really can’t go wrong here. You probably won’t want to enlarge the images you get from the Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash because they get grainy when enlarged, but considering the form and function of this compact camera that’s really not an issue. Buy several and keep them on hand for those moments that surprise!

The built in flash is a really nice feature of the Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash when paired with the low light film so long as it’s not too dark out. The range on the flash for the QuickSnap is about 10 feet maximum, and it recharges quickly so you’re always ready for the next shot. You do need to be somewhat careful not to leave it in direct sunlight or expose it to bad weather as that will damage the film quality (and potentially ruin your pictures), but that’s normal for most cameras. The general rule with the QuickSnap and all disposable cameras is this: develop your film as soon as possible. It degrades quickly.

Finally for the green-oriented consumer, the FujiFilm QuickSnap flash is fully recyclable.

  1. a "high average" in my book--the pictures won't be the best quality (three and one-half stars)

I used this brand of "disposable," single use camera recently and the pictures came out fairly well. Oh, sure, the quality of the pictures won't be 100% as good as the pictures you would get from a digital camera or a standard, more expensive 35 mm camera. Actually, the pictures these Fuji cameras take are even slightly grainier than the Kodak single use cameras. Sigh. However, the camera is very lightweight so you can carry several at a time in a bag as you travel. I... Read more
