A digital SLR camera requires carrying a large camera case with multiple lenses and dealing with sometimes inconvenient lens swapping. The SP-570 offers a wide range of features that meet those of SLRs without the necessity for extra lenses and extra costs. In fact, this camera offers a lot for its mid-range price point. The ability to shoot in RAW and to control all of the camera’s functionality will be great when you want to do some impressive photography. But you ... Read more

It is without a doubt that the main attraction of the camera is its long 20x zoom, which is a big plus for photographers looking for that extra range. Its compact size also makes it an ideal camera to bring along on long trips out. Other than its extremely long zoom range, the camera produces some very decent photos with vibrant colours. The ability to take pictures in RAW also serves as a plus point for serious photo enthusiasts who want to experiment with their pict... Read more

Reviewing point-and-shoot cameras for you guys, no matter how complex, is like writing about light beer for a wine magazine. What can you say but that it goes down smooth and tastes great? Can you talk about the vat-grown malty flavor? Can you talk about the bottle and clever spelling of “lite?” Absolutely, but you and I both know we’re doing each other a disservice. Read more

Olympus SP-570 UZ Megazoom digital camera Where the Megazoom camera proved good for 10x optical zoom a few years ago, the Olympus SP-570 UZ doubles this range. The compact size remained untouched and the amount of pixels increased, as expected. The concept is solid as a rock and has already proven its worth in practice. Still, we have to make a side note about the evolution the SP series of Olympus is undergoing. Because it’s not all improvements that this evolution b... Read more

Buy.com really dropped the ball advertising this camera. The Zoom is incredible (20X), the Mega Pixels (10.0) are much more than adequate but, thats just the begining. The panoramic stitching is easy to use and the results are great. If you are a professional photographer, stick to SLRs but, if you just like taking pictures of sporting events, monuments, cityscapes, etc etc., this is the camera to get. Read more

ello, today I will discuss and comment on this excellent camera: The Olympus SP-570 UZ. It turns out that a friend of mine from college one day I invite you to an excursion to the mountains. Accept the invitation and went in my car that weekend. My friend is a photographer, and works for a magazine. This day was the camera on which I believe. Read more

I've shot nearly 1000 photos with my SP570 so far. I've shot 10,000 with my Nikon D70. It's not anywhere near the quality of a DSLR so don't try fooling yourself. You're maxxed at 72dpi in both RAW and JPG. Photos printing is great up to 8X10". It's a great little snapshot camera. I would not have purchased it had I known it maxxed at 72dpi. For a pocket camera, I can't imagine anything better than this. Just don't make the mistake that this will do what a DSLR will d... Read more
