Somehow amid a confusion of roman numerals, Square-Enix overlooked the fact that this Final Fantasy III (being different to the Final Fantasy III that was released in the West which was actually Final Fantasy VI), and, where were we, oh yes, this Final Fantasy III was never released in English before the year 2006. I can’t fathom why they would release Final Fantasy (the first one which doesn’t have a roman numeral) on roughly seven different platforms and counting an... Read more
Final Fantasy III is a terrific-looking RPG that what it lacks in story, nearly makes up for in its addictiveness and charm. The game can be pretty tough and the job system isn’t as polished as those in Final Fantasy V or Tactics, but it’s easily one of the best RPGs for the DS. Read more
Finally, a solid RPG for DS fans to dig into, Square Enix’s reincarnation of the “real” Final Fantasy III which managed to elude North American gamers years ago makes it’s debut on the Nintendo’s innovative handheld console and delivers top-notch graphics and audio as well as a pretty fulfilling game play experience. Of course, it’s easy to complain about FF3 ’s shortcomings and utter ruthlessness. But through all the whining and the nitpicking, it’s crucial to keep FF3 in perspective -- this is the Final Fantasy installment that hasn’t seen American shores in over a decade, and it brings some of the tightest combat and the tensest boss battles that’ll ever pass our way. It’s a fine piece of work from the realm of old-school RPGs, and as far as remakes go, it’s a title that... Read more
Final Fantasy III missed the title of megahit with a near miss. The game is superb, every own-respecting RPG-fan should get it, just because at the moment it’s the only decent RPG on Nintendo DS. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay and the story keeps you going for hours (almost 70!), but the massive flood of battles ruin it a little and make it hard to enjoy a play session of more than a few hours (with some 50 battles per hour…). And what the F*ck about the sec... Read more
i really like FF games, especially FFX for PS2-- it's really fun! since this one's the third one, i din't really expect it to be the same as FFX, cause on this one it goes back seven games before. but i think this game is very fun. you'd have to go to different towns and in each town there'd be tasks that you have to do. also, there'd be bosses to kill. you can buy better and upgraded weapons and armorrey. there are also hidden places where treasure chests, with lots ... I loved the original version and still do. In fact I loved it so much that I bought the Japanese version just for kicks, but they really could not have done anything better. if liked the first one or are new to the series I suggest you play this game because it does kick ass. They remastered the music and sound to perfection and made the game look so much more epic than before. Anyone who’s even the smallest amount of final fantasy fan must play this game. This is the... ...few favorites that no one can forget: - Ultros - Final Fantasy VI - Alyx - Half-Life 2 - Vic Viper - Gradius series - Scorpion / Sub-Zero - Mortal Kombat (seriously, who could forget these guys?) By the way, if you haven't gone through Final Fantasy VI (Final Fantasy III on SNES) I highly recommend it. That entire cast has so much personality it's simply disgusting.

...ntertainment S ystem. I first played it when I received it for Christmas, 1994. The now classic sports legendary titles such as Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, and Zelda: Link to the Past. Other favourites of mine are of course F-Zero, Yoshi’s Island, Final Fantasy III, Mario Kart, and so many others. If I hit some spot in your memory, then I have found the right crowd. I have a Nintendo DS, and thanks to homebrew I enjoy classic Gameboy, NES, and recently (last week!) discovered a SNES emulator to have fun with. The SNES...
