Aye, my Asus P5E3 Deluxe x38 board supports CPU's at 1600MHz and memory at 1333 MHz. As for the x48, performance gains should be noticed if the CPU and RAM were both synchronized at 1600 MHz.

I got that the other day when I left my ASUS P5E3 off for a few days.. had that error pop up... powered down and restarted.... everything was fine. Haven't seen it since. Anyway, can you get into the BIOS to disable the sensor?

ive youve got time you should wait for x48 mobos which are just round the corner, the Asus P5E3 Premium looks like it might be a winner if you want a powerhouse, but then again its pricey and so is ddr3 ram ;p
