Universe at War is let down somewhat by the campaign and terribly cliched story. What it shines in though is balance and the fact that the factions all feel unique, the graphics are excellent and skirmish/mp is where it's truly at. Read more

Sure, you can talk about Dune II and Herzog Zwei but if you're looking for the definitive, original RTS game that really set the genre alight, there's only one contender: Command & Conquer. I take it none of you have had to deal with the odd "abnormal game exit" bug, yeah? While playing the singleplayer game, sometimes the game would start acting up. The mouse cursor would change to a square of messed up graphics and whenever I completed objectives in the game, the next objectives weren't triggered until I moved my units around a lot.
