The Altec Lansing VS4221 uses custom-built drivers and cutting edge equalization circuitry to bring high quality audio reproduction to the listener. The system has built-in controls for switching the speakers on and off and for adjusting the volume level. The wireless remote has buttons for stand-by mode and for adjusting volume, bass and treble levels.
The system’s wires are conveniently color-coded for easy setup. It also has a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack as well as RCA inputs for hooking up the VS4221 to the television or a game console.
The satellite speakers measure in at 4.5 x 10.3 x 4.6 inches (W x H x D) and feature a pivoting base. With the ability to pivot, the listener can easily adjust the position of the drivers to the optimum angle for a better listening experience. Each of the VS4221’s satellite speakers utilize two 28 mm full-range drivers and a single 3 inch, down-firing mid-bass driver. The satellites are magnetically shielded for use next to PC monitors.
The VS4221’s features an all-wood enclosure and a single 6.5 inch long-throw woofer driver. The front-firing subwoofer measures 7.9 x 13.4 x 9.6 inches (W x H x D).

good speaker which compatible with new pc operating system,game & dvd.sound quality is crisp.bass is perfect.if somebody wants for multipupose use this is it.i use with satellite radio,pc and dvd.i do not have any complaints after 1 month.i like sound quality mainly for classical and pop.if somebody needs to be deaf then they can choose for more decibel which my country rule does not permit.beleive me if you like music ,not the decibel just go for it.listen to it after... I expected more for 100 bucks. They were ok. But not 100 bucks worth. I have purchased a pair of Altec Lansings for 30 dollars and another pair for 85. They were woth every penny I paid. These will grow on me in time. They are pretty crisp. The remote control was nice. Read more
