Review Summary
Before its release the game Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV) has already been generating great reviews. According to a certain user who was disappointed by the fact the game is based in the Liberty City rather than in New York. Whether it is about the missions, the moment-to-moment action, the controls, the dynamic city, the technology, the graphics, or any of countless other aspects, all these are being talked about by reviewers as well as gamers who are excited about the game. Though some reviewers feel when it comes to combat, GTA IV has a lot in common to the game, Gears of War. Gamers as well as reviewers are happy to notice that GTA IV has all the expected inside features that they would want. Like the smooth and accurate control for targeting, intuitive cover mechanics and non-restrictive agility. Thanks to the way the targeting mechanics have been created, players who have never play any game in the GTA series, would be able to start out with this one easily and at the same time having lots of fun playing it. A certain reviewer quoted that the trigger-based lock-on system looks very intuitive, enabling the player to quickly move from target to target, as well as making minor movements while focusing on one target. This game has a brand new level and it is for multiple systems.

Rarely does a game live up to its preceding hype, but with the delivery of Grand Theft Auto IV , Rockstar succeeded in crafting a near perfect game that delivers a movie-like experience. No expense was spared in rounding out gameplay, characters, visuals and intense multiplayer action to give players a solid contender for game of the year. Read more

A lot has changed in the gaming world since Rockstar released GTA: San Andreas, the last entry in the incredibly successful and highly controversial Grand Theft Auto series. The next generation of consoles has taken the forefront, and with it changed the scope and scale of gaming in many ways. In the last several years especially, games have pushed the boundaries of their genre to limits never before seen. Games like Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Uncharted have made incr... Read more

Lesser companies would have crumbled under the weight of the controversy and the intense media scrutiny that the company has had to endure. But not Rockstar: if anything, the adversity seems to have made the company stronger and, most importantly, smarter. Read more

Grand Theft Auto IV
Reviewer: gaming-age.com20 May 2008So another generation has come and along with it a Grand Theft Auto title is born. It's not going to please everyone, but certainly it will make fans of the series happy for the space between another installment. Some like myself may despise the social aspect in the single-player mode, feeling like it's too needy, while others may feel it adds an extra layer of substance. On the same hand, there will be a few who just don't care for the masterful story within this GTA... Read more

Never been a massive fan, however I still found this a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, the city itself is a hugely impressive piece of work but the driving feels sluggish as does the shooting, and the character graphics are nothing special. Worth renting, but I personally wouldn't spend ?40 on it. Read more

There is something quite exhilarating about being a bit naughty. Personally, I just can't help getting a buzz from throwing chip wrappers into the wrong recycling bin. I'm not sure which one of my twisted childhood experiences made me so evil but from the latest GTA sales figures it seems I'm not alone. I'm exaggerating of course: GTA has always been about a lot more then playing out fantasies about mowing down pedestrians without having to worry about ruining your ca... Read more

This is a great game and will keep everybody busy for quite a while, but with the ps3`s power and potential they could've done a lot more. A lot of the mini games and customization that we had in San Andreas was also taken away which was a letdown. Brilliant nonetheless Read more

The total depth of this game is mind blowing and each sotry is intertwined with other parts of the story. This puts faith back in the PS3 and look forward to Rockstars next big release. Probably one of the best PS3 games to date. Read more
