The game Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction deals with adventures. The player of course will get ready for this galactic adventure filled with explosive mayhem as the Ratchet & Clank series makes its PS3 debut. No doubt that it will mark the beginning of a brand-new series of next-generation games for our gadget-building hero, Ratchet, and his brainy robotic sidekick, Clank.

Initially, after saving countless planets from dreadful doom and earning intergalactic mega-celebrity status in the process, Ratchet and Clank have taken some well-deserved R&R — again. Yet, Ratchet remains restless. Looking to an orphan, who hadn’t known anything about his origin, but unfortunately for Ratchet, someone else is equally interested in Ratchet’s origins: Emperor Percival Tachyon. In his thirst for revenge, the vile tyrant of an ancient race of foul insect-like monsters called Cragmites has festered an age-old grudge and is bent on wiping the last-known Lombax off the universe!

Review Summary

Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction is a fantastic game with good humor, style, and attitude. The story is about Ratchet Clank, beginning an adventure in the capital city, which has suddenly come under attack by the evil Emperor Tachyon. As the Emperor breaks around the galaxy attempting to find a hidden Lombax weapon which supposedly has the ability to reinforce his takeover. Ratchet chases after him to stop him at every occasion. Along the way, Ratchet has many adventures, collects many new weapons, and makes some new friends. As the game progresses, to save the universe, you need weapons and you can gather and buy over fifteen different weapons, each one having five different upgrade levels. As your weapon level increases, your weapons grow more powerful. If you play the game a second time, you can even upgrade them to ‘omega’ weapons, which unlocks levels 6 to 10. This game features the new ‘raritanium’ upgrades to equip your weapons. Some upgrades increase range, damage while others unlock a special features. It’s this upgrading system that makes Tools of Destruction become popular and also addictive. Reviewers find Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction funny, charming, awesome and great adventure. Though it is not an innovative game, its pretty cool and amusing.

Every now and then I come across a franchise that I eventually become addicted to. But there are times that I also ignore certain franchises. Up until about a year or two ago, was one of those franchises that I ignored. Maybe it was because of the cute and cuddly Ratchet or maybe it was because I was broke as hell and didn't value the franchise. But one day I decided to splurge and spent $20 on . It turned out to be one of the most entertaining games I've ever ... Read more

It’s bad enough that the PlayStation 3 library is so lacking right now.  For you to go and create Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is one thing.  But to do so in a way which shows up every other game?  To do so many things so well that it makes every other PlayStation 3 game in my library look like a last gen entry?  To make a game so fun that, when it’s all said and done, I find it difficult to go back to other PS3 games? A game where quality graphics are... Read more

Ratchet & Clank games have always been good. It was a must buy for the Playstation 2. And now, it's come to the Playstation 3, and the creators have done dam fine job as well. The opening level is breath-taking, as buildings are destroyed by evil robots, debris flying everywhere, and the whole city going kaka koko. You think that it's imposible to fight back against all these guys at first, but you soon realise, you are far better than them. The weapons are unique in ... Read more

The humour is good and the hardness is high but not impossible. However if you want to go to bed and you are in the middle of a planet when you come back you'll be placed by your airship is beyond frustration. Also if you die be aware that the check points might be quite behind. In essence the save option is not working. Read more
