Its a good, if not excellent small player that is compatible with Divx, Mpeg4, MP# as well as JPEG formatting. With an 8.5 inch screen, it does appear to be quite a lot wider due to the placement of the speakers in that area. For the price, which we found to be relatively reasonable at about 180 USD, it includes the car and av connections.

I personally didn’t find this to be all that I would like to have in a portable. There are no USB ports, nor is a remote control included in your purchase.

The speakers are mounted on the sides, near the screen, which does offer some better sound, but does also add to the very wide width of the player. The picture quality was good, however most of your controls will be hidden quite effectively when it is placed in tablet position, making it rather difficult to maneuver.

Despite the extreme long life of the battery, it does not deliver 13 hours of playback time as Panasonic claims that it will, coming in somewhere under ten hours.

Panasonic has discontinued the battery, and without it the player won't work even on mains power ! So, my expensive investment is now quite useless ! All Panasonic is prepared to do is offer a small discount to buy a much inferior unit. SO MY ADVICE IS : DON'T BUY PANASONIC LEST THEY... Read more
