Pioneer VSX-LX60 comes with built-in Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and DTS HD Master Audio codecs. Users are provided with customization capabilities for 1080p high definition control. This AV receiver measures 187 x 459 x 420 mm (W x D x H) and weighs 37.4 lbs. The VSX-LX60 can synchronize with other Pioneer HDMI Control enabled home entertainment products including the LX Plasma TV range, BDP-LX70A Blu-ray player using the HDML controls and eliminating need for multiple remote controls. This Pioneer AV Receiver is also equipped with the newly developed Sound Retriever, which improves the sound quality of compressed audio (WMA, MP3, AAC) to the level of CD sound. A special algorithm is applied to restore signals even in barely audible ranges which are otherwise eliminated in the compression process.

The Pioneer VSX-LX60 device also uses the advanced MCACC technology. The advanced MCACC technology applies ‘Time Axis’ in measuring the listening environment’s acoustic characteristics and in applying frequency response compensation resulting in precise adjustment of frequency response for human ears. The MACC can perform five steps including analysis of connected speakers, speaker types, speaker positioning, sound pressure level and frequency response.

Pioneer VSX-LX60 device enables users can use the 7 powered channels to bi-amp or set up a second zone. Users will also have the additional ability to listen to audio from multiple devices in various rooms simultaneously(Zone 2: audio + video + iPod, Zone 3: audio). Users can listen to media from the iPod by simply plugging in a single cable which can charge, operate and control playback of all media stored on the iPod.

Pioneer VSX-LX60 consists of a high performance Digital Video Converter which enables all analogue input video signals (composite / S-Video / Component) to be output via the HDMI terminal. Its video scaler function enables upscaling of analogue video signals from 480i/p to a maximum of 1080p. Another feature is the I/P scan conversion which improves accuracy of lettering and curved images and prevents appearance of jagged edges. The Pioneer VSX-LX60 can decode and output several available sound formats including DTS-ES, DTS 96/24, DTS NEO:6, Dolby PL IIx, WMA9 Pro. This AV Receivers offers users a 3 year manufacturerer warranty.
