JVC HM-DT100U

The JVC HM-DT100U is a high-definition video cassette player and recorder that is compatible with D-VHS, S-VHS, S-VHS ET, HiFi VHS, and VHS.  It measures 17.1 x 3.8 x 13.7 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 13.5 pounds.

The VCR comes equipped with DigiPure Technology that ensures high resolution analog recording and playback. It can record any type of broadcast including HD, SD, and Analog. The HM-DT100U supports HDTV digital broadcast bitstream recording and playback as it is fully HDTV compatible with all 18 ATSC broadcasting formats. It also comes with a built-in MPEG2 CODEC encoder and decoder for digital recording of NTSC broadcasts. The built-in MPEG2 decoder allows for direct connection to HDTV through Y/Pb/Pr or HDMI.

Apart from these, the player comes with VHS Progressive Scan that converts analog VHS tapes to 480p. It has an integrated ATSC tuner with EPG for digital high definition broadcast recording. It is D-Theater compliant with the advanced D-VHS security system. Additionally, the JVC HM-DT100U has an MTS decoder for SAP programs. It comes with VCR Plus + features for C3 cable box control. It also features a frame synchronizer for high quality analog-to-digital dubs.

Set up and installation of the HM-DT100U is simple because of its Plug & Play and Express Programming features. It also has a number of connectivity options that include AV Compu Link. At the VCR’s front panel are its AV, S-Video, and iLink inputs while its component video, optical digital, and 5.1 Dolby Digital outputs are located at the rear. The player also has a 2-channel Linear PCM audio output capability.

Other features of the JVC HM-DT100U include video tape navigation features that allow for tape number, record date, and category sorting, a real-time tape counter and a 1-year timer programmable with 24 events. The player also comes with a glow key remote control compatible with multi-brand TVs, cable, and Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS).
