It's more of a fringe sport here, and unlike the popularity of the Pro Evolution Soccer series over in Europe, such quality titles have developed only a cult following on this side of the pond.    Finally, a sports game for Wii that makes the end experience smarter, not dumber. No arbitrary waggle just for the sake of waggle. Just really intelligent IR implementation for soccer bouts overrun with strategy and big plays. The learning curve is steep, but if you stick with it, you will be rewarded with one of the most innovative and altogether fun sports offerings in years. Read more

   Greyhound concludes by assuring us that Konami are committed to creating a realistic and overall, an entertaining, experience - the designer re-engineering the football game in a way I'm tempted to say is daring and innovative, while at the same time I'm unsure whether it'll actually work. One thing's for sure, the new PES for the Wii certainly can't be dismissed as a cynical cash-in. Read more

   As soon as the control system is mastered this game becomes incredibly playable. As with other reviewers, I've always preferred FIFA to the more arcade style PES, but the wii version has totally converted me. This has far more variation to play than its rivals - and the season/career mode is incredibly addictive. Read more
