Well first let me point out that they are about 4 or 5 years latereleasing the game, you would think they would try and put a game likethis out when Fight Club was a new movie and getting more attention, but they didn’t. They obviously didn’t spend the extra time working onthis game though. It’s rated M for blood, violence and language, butthey probably should have added boredom to that list. Afterabout 5-10 minutes into the game you realize that fight after... Read more
| Register More PlayStation Dreamcast Nintendo 64 Game Boy SNES NES NGAGE Genesis Sega Saturn Mac PLATFORM: XBOX f Tyler Durden saw you sitting on your comfy couch, staring at a television, and playing Fight Club (possibly over your fancy-pants Internet connection), he would probably hit you as hard as he could. Furthermore, if you had been playing the game for more than ten minutes, you’d thank him for it. To its credit, this fighter takes a new approach to being... Read more
In case you can’t tell by now, Fight Club doesn’t even come close to living up to the quality of the film and it won’t be getting an Editor’s Choice from us. While the game did show some potential for a quality fighter early on, it seems that the designers didn’t push the game much further than the status we saw it at months ago during development. It's fair to say that in beat-em-ups there are few that can compete with the likes of Street Fighter, Tekken and Virtua Fighter. Loosely based on the film of the same name, players are pitted as one of ten would-be warriors in a story-led fisticuffs tale in which 'survival of the fittest' is the order of the day. You'll fight some, watch a cut-scene, then fight... Read more
Fight Club the game, is not either a good representation of the Fight Club book, Fight Club movie, or the fighting game genre. It will not hold any value for any fighting fans even if you find it in the bargain bin, and Fight Club fans everywhere should especially stay away from this skid mark in the fighting game genre. This is easily one of the worst games I have ever played. Maybe it's because I love the film so much, maybe it's because I had high hopes for this game, I don't know, but bottom line is this: love or hate the movie or have no idea about the movie Fight Club, it doesn't matter, this game is a disaster. The incredibly dull story mode (short too, which may be the best thing for it) does nothing to excite you and the non-moving cut scenes from what looks like a comic book... Read more
